It is true that probably February is not the warmest month of the year, but it´s definitely a great period to visit Madrid and avoid the masses of people.

Fashion lovers also gather in Madrid during this month, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week where fashion, luxury and comfort takes place during from the 16th to the 21st of February; designers with the fame of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Custo Barcelona, Roberto Torretta, Ulises Mérida will celebrate their catwalk during this week.
Until the 28th of February Madrid´s Sale will be held, a great opportunity to visit the luxury stores in town, visiting the last fashion tendencies in the area of Salesas and Chueca or the area of Augusto Figueroa where the best shoe shops are located is a great plan.
Enjoy the most caloric plates of the gastronomy without regrets, breakfast “churros con chocolate” at the famous Chocolatería de San Gines becomes a pleasure. Have a “cocido” (stew) at the Restaurant La Bola, or the best roasts at Casa Botin and of course having a prawn sandwich at the Plaza Mayor
